    Default TRACK GOALS FOR 2009[WHATCHA GONNA DO?]

    This thread is for everybody to say what their goal for the 2009 season is and then come back and quote themself with a "fuck yeah!!!!!" once they achieve that goal.

    My goal for the 2009 season is kinda crazy LOL

    quick history, my old neon on stock turbo ran [email protected] and on big turbo ran [email protected]

    my goal for 2009 is to beat my old cars ET when it was on the big turbo with the new neon on stock turbo. so 12.532 or faster on stock turbo ill holler at ya soon

    My Goal is too beat chad, and maybe hit 12.1 in the stock evo

    Also the most important goal for me is to not break my transmission for atleast 8 months or bottom end

    if you achieve that goal its only cause the neons lil turbo can only push so much and you will catch me topend cause imma 60ft dat ass

    hope your not on stock brakes. Stock Evo's destroy race pads,rotors etc. I'd love to see one with 600whp on stock brakes with race pads lol. Your $450 HT-10's would be done in 25 laps seeing that you could drive at an instructor level. There is no cooling, and the aftermarket cooling is weak. Also with that power it's going to be hard to find an instructor that will sit in that car. You have no experience in a car that'll do 160 on the back straight (faster if you have a BBK) and someone is trusting you with there life. I would strongly advise you to use a different car as that car is not going to teach you anything about road racing or how to drive fast.
    FYI i've been doing this for some time now, and i'll be getting my instructor license this summer and TAKE my advice for your own good!!! MOST every car that get's totalled out there is a highly modified car with a driver who LEARNED on a highly modified street car to start, instead of a stock car, or momentum race car. It's to the point where I just feel sorry for the one's doing it right in the momentum cars, as they loose track time when the stupid newbs bring 600hp Vette's, rediculous Evo's and M3's and smash them into the wall because they think big power automatically makes them good and experienced. Happens almost every weekend!! PM me if you'd like to be introduced to it out there properly. I can hook you up with some veteran friends with Evo track cars that are quite fast (all with less than 400 crank hp).

    I'd like to run...
    1:05 on Talladagea (down from 1:08)
    1:36 on Road Atlanta (in the race car)
    1:40 (in the street car)
    2:34 (at Road America, best is 2:36)
    It's also pending if i'm going to the Ring and to Laguna sometime this yeah but I'd like to make it a goal that atleast one happens.

    Oh and i'd like to do
    12.7@108 in the street car.

    I will have a BBK before I hit the track. I already have the carbon fiber cooling ducts, but I still need the hose kit.

    Like I previously said, I won't race this car on a 600+whp tune. I will switch to a smaller, more responsive turbo making a lot less power. My car already has a full cage also with a net.

    Track days allow spectators for a fee as far as I know.

    I haven't booked anything because I said AFTER I hit my goal of a 9 sec pass. I'm not switching turbo setups before I hit my 9 sec goal and I think my car makes too much power for a track right now, especially starting off as a newbcake.

    After that, I really don't care to drag race anymore. I plan on going to a driving school to learn from the experts and then I want to track the car and have fun improving lap times.

    my boosted sentra: 350+ whp, high 12's - low 13's (slicks/DR)

    4 point rollbar for convertibles running 13.49 or faster or 11.49 or faster for normal cars

    10.99 or faster or trap higher than 135 you must have a full cage

    I want to say 11.30s before changing the set-up. But, a buddy has a set of ported heads that I sort of want...and I know if I get them I'll end up porting the intake to match since it'll be off anyway. Then, since the heads and intake are off I might as well go with a bigger cam.

    would like to have my car running in 2009. that would make me happy. it would be a huge plus if i actually get to race in 2009. lol. if that does happen, a high 10 would make me ecstatic, but i would be very content with an 11. after that, im with phillis, road racing is where i'll be. or possibly time attack. we shall seeeeee.

    I am not sure if I want to post up a goal, cause don't want to fall short and disappoint myself... But I guess I'll say high 11's to low 12's on pump and no spray...

    my goal is a mid to low 9 second run. im hoping i can do that with my manual tranny and stay pretty consistant with it

    if i hit a low 12 on street tires and current suspension setup (no drag bags) i'll be happy... then i'd be REALLY REALLY REALLY happy if i broke into the 11s with drag bags and drag radials or slicks. guess i better fix that tranny mount, huh? lol
